Training and Behaviour
Training classes are stress free and enjoyable for both you and your dog – after all training should be about having fun !
We specialise in Puppy School training and socialisation and our courses will ensure you give your puppy the best possible start in life.As puppies are constantly growing and developing, training and socialisation should be continued throughout the first year of your puppy’s life.
For young adolescent dogs, adult dogs and rescue dogs training courses are available under The Kennel Club Good Citizen Training Scheme at Bronze, Silver and Gold standard or alternatively if you wish to concentrate on just one issue then 1-2-1 training sessions are available where we can cover anything from loose lead walking to coming back when called.
Clicker training classes are also available and you can study for your CAP1 certificate (Learning About Dogs).
Behaviour consultations cover issues such as separation anxiety, resource guarding, phobias, inappropriate barking, over excitement, chasing and some cases of aggression.
We are committed to helping owners who have taken on a rescue dog as these dogs may need special help to settle into their new home.
If you have a specific interest in Beagles and would like to re-home or adopt a beagle please click on the Beagle Welfare link for more information.
Therapeutic Canine Massage
I specialise in working with dogs with soft tissue injury and orthorpedic conditions such as arthritis, hip displysia, cruciate ligament damage and luxating Patellas.
I see a lot of dogs that struggle to get out of the car or up/down the stairs or that have suddenly slowed down or aged overnight. At first the owner may see this as an obedience issue but sometimes the dog just can’t physically do what is asked of him / her and this can be due to a soft tissue injury or the onset of an orthorpedic condition.
Through therapeutic canine massage, I achieve results that you can see and that your dog will feel.
